India and many other Asian countries are renowned for their diverse cultures, traditions, and vibrant array of forms and colors.
Inspired by years of exploration throughout India and Asia, Anja Vanal established the label "maasa" in 2004.
Since 2008, maasa has operated its own boutique shop in Wädenswil (Zurich).
At maasa, we specialize in trading artisanal goods sourced from India.
Our commitment to fair trade and humane working conditions spans all levels of production and trading.
In 2013, Anja Vanal, in collaboration with her Indian business partner Sunil Chindalia, founded Maasa Production Pvt. Ltd. in New Delhi.
This initiative ensures a sustainably high quality of all maasa products, with a particular focus on block print textiles, wooden stamps, and soft goods.
As a socially responsible employer, Maasa Production creates much-needed employment opportunities in India, working closely with local Indian families.
